Day 44 - Running Again!

That's right, I started my workout at 12:01 am. Today I was assigned a forty-five minute run with 6 x 45 seconds of fast running. For some reason I completely spaced on the "fast" run portion. It didn't matter though because this was my first time running since the Coaster Run 5k and I was not going to push it too hard. I decided to walk for five minutes to warm up, then run for ten, walk again for one and repeat until done.
As I ran, I was careful with my left foot placement and technique, making sure that my mid and forefoot were striking more than my heel. Everything felt okay and I maintained a pretty consistent heart rate. Before I knew it, I was at the halfway point and turning around. I definitely felt I could have kept going but by the end, the ankle was starting to wake up again.
Tomorrow is a 3:30 hour steady Z2 ride. Until tomorrow my friends.
