Day 117 - Rest Day, Soup and Postage Stamps

Today was a rest day. Which is good because I woke up feeling pretty crappy. Don't know what the heck is going on.
So I chilled at home pretty much without doing anything but rest. Stomach was "sour" all day and I wasn't very hungry. Only drank one smoothie. Checked and didn't seem to be dehydrated.

I went to the post office and bought some stamps at one point. People give me a hard time when I do short post but sometimes there is just not that much going on to write about. I looked for work and more bike sponsors. I also did research about swimming anxiety. I drank some Skratch Labs hydration mix and felt better. Maybe I had drank so much water that I had flushed out all my electrolytes. Don't know.

I received my training schedule for the week today and noticed there is a lot of running. 
As a matter of fact, it looks like things have ramped up quite a bit more. I am ready to get back to it. I'm seeing that the Ironman is very much won in the bike and marathon. It's not that I think I can win, I see how important it is to be strong. An opportunity with each workout to push my suffer threshold a little more. To embrace the pain like an old friend so it's not unfamiliar during the race.

A little after seven p.m., I felt better so I went out for some food at my friend Kevin Tran's restaurant, Vinh Loi Tofu. All I had was some vegetable soup and kombucha.

Tomorrow I'm back at it with a brick of riding and immediately following, a short run. Until tomorrow my friends.
