First of all look at that number. That two pound rise in weight happens when I fail to get enough sleep. I'm exhausted and I have only had this crazy puppy three days! I wasn't paying attention to my water intake outside of working out and ended up dehydrated.
Today I was supposed to do a brick of a 3400 yard swim and an hour and a half run with 4-8 strides tacked on the end. A stride is a 100 meter run that you start by start from a stand-still, gradually build the cadence over the first
1/3rd, over the middle 1/3rd run about 95% effort with fast turnover and
perfect technique, then gradually slow down to a walk over the last
1/3rd. Let the HR come down a little then repeat.
The Boss had plans for my birthday but we ended up only going to breakfast and then doing a bunch of puppy stuff that somehow took all day.
Like take it to breakfast with us.
And give her the second car ride, this time with the window open.
Next we went to the dog park for the first time where she decided to jump on the faces of a couple of thankfully good tempered pits.
hors d'oeuvre for the bigger dogs.
By the time we got home, The Boss and I were exhausted and any hope of my working out was out the window.
Tomorrow is a rest day technically, if I can get any sleep tonight, I'm going to do today's brick workout tomorrow.
