My workout was a one hour easy Z2 run. With everything happening today, I was lucky to get in 36 minutes as I didn't even begin running until 1:07 am. To make up for the shorter run, I kept my heart rate right on the border or Z2 and Z3. As a matter of fact, I had to walk several times as my heart rate was shooting into Z3 without much effort! Shows how out of shape I am.
I was looking around Pasadena with The Boss today when she suggested we try a new vegan restaurant called My Vegan. The food was excellent. If you have never had Kombucha, give it a try sometime. It is basically a fermented tea but it is very healthy.
One thing I tried was the "fried chicken tacos" appetizers. They were excellent! After I had a potato curry, also excellent.
So out the door I went. Right away, my heart rate went up. I had to focus on taking it easy. Even needing to walk several times. I ran fast enough to be in Zone 4 for the last quarter mile though.
