September 10, 2013 No weight this week.
I woke up at 7:30 am this morning ready to run. I had the same anticipation as on a race day for some reason. I quickly ate a little rice and drank some water, grabbed the dog and headed to the bottom of the hill. It was a very misty morning and a little cool. Compared to the recent heat and humidity, it was great out there. The Puppy was just a little spastic which resulted in more pulling than I like.
We made it to the turn around with a little time to spare and headed back. The Puppy pulled me most of the way home. I had to stop several times to get her to slow down. Towards the end of the run my left knee was acting up again. I don't know if it was wrestling with The Puppy or that maybe I'm just exceeding my maximum weight load.
I went home and had my recovery shake then relaxed. My knee feeling about 75%. I decided to recover until late afternoon where I planned to run gain. As the day went on, my knee didn't improve until at 9:00 pm, I decided to not push it and rest the knee for a few more days. Disappointed I couldn't do both runs! Tomorrow, I have an hour and fifteen minute bike ride. if my knee feels more stable, I might run.
On a positive note, I had contacted Fitletic who make the iFitness Hydration Belt about the defective bottle nozzle issue I mentioned way back on Day 165. Without question or hesitation, they sent me two brand new bottles! That is some great customer service!
