Day 250 - Rest Day, Veggie Burgers and Puppy Gymnastics

October 14, 2013            No weight this week.

Today was a rest day. Not too much interesting stuff to report. I had to sell one of my guitars today very sadly. A beautiful Taylor acoustic I've had for nine years. Sometimes you just do what you have to. Anyways.

On rest days, it's important to eat properly. You not only need to fuel your body for working out, you need to fuel your recovery. The muscle fibers that get damaged and irritated during the exercise need good nutrition to heal well between workouts.

Here is another example of what I eat:

This is a completely plant based "burger" and large salad with raw broccoli florets. Gluten and dairy free. Very tasty. The more I see research about broccoli, the more I'm convinced it is one of the best things you can eat. That is, unless you have some weird affliction that prevents you from eating it. In that case, eat kale!

At one point The Puppy attempted to jump up on the chair but somehow failed. She proceeded to remain in that half on half off position for several minutes with an expression as if to say, "Nothing to see here, everything is perfectly normal!"

Tomorrow, I run for an hour. Until tomorrow my friend.
