Day 345 - Running back for the Horse.

January 17, 2014

Today I had a run assigned. Here is the workout:

Fourty-five minute run: Include 6x30 sec fast running sections - high turnover, light on the feet - explosive power.

I didn't get out the door until after one a.m. but I felt that if I missed it, I would hate myself. So I drove to Chandler Blvd, because I haven't been there in awhile. I used to park next to some old World War Two erra buildings that were in disrepair. I liked those old buildings as they were a reminder of the aircraft industry that built Burbank. In their place now stood some very modern commercial studio spaces.
I planned to do about thirty minutes of easy running to warm up my legs and get them used to training again. Easing into the harder stuff over time.  I ended up running ridiculously slow, but I attribute that to my leg not being healed.
At one point, I had my breathing right and seemed to have a nice cadence, just floating along feeling connected with the path. Well, that is it for now. Until tomorrow my friends.
