Hi all. Looks like my weight loss has stalled again. The weird thing is, I can see a pretty obvious change in my body. Who knows? I'm making a bigger effort to not stress about it.
Anyways, I got up early, smoothied up and headed to Buena Park, CA, about thirty minutes from my house. The event I was attending, the Evolv Sports sidewalk sale. Evolv makes rock climbing shoes that are quite popular. I showed up at about 9:30 am and the owner Jeff Kenyo, had already set up the tent and was in the process of finishing the table.
I got setup in no time and went over what I have been learning recently from the Portables book from
Skratch Labs. Good information for anyone who trains in the heat or sweats.
As soon as the sale started a big crowd showed raced in and shoe boxes went flying! Business was brisk. I spoke to a bunch of people and handed out almost all of the single serving samples. One guy kept coming back, filling up his water bottle. It was a good day for tasting because it was hot out! Me and Jeff seemed to hit it off right away and discussed riding together in the future. During a conversation with one customer, I learned the The New Years Race is considered one of the toughest 1/2 marathons in the country due to all the hills on the course. I will have to verify that, but it made me feel good that I accomplished it.
I got home around four ish and The Boss told me she wanted to go hiking with The Puppy.
Off to Stough Canyon we went, getting there just at sunset.
We had a great view of the valley and it was a clear and sharp out.
The Puppy was going nuts with stimulation from all the sights and smells. She would sleep well tonight.
I made sure to run up the hill as we climbed to get as much out of the hike as I could. Still not easy with my kind of poundage. I will be nice when I can give my knees a break by losing weight. Until tomorrow my friends.
